Past count and motility
Count tells you how many. It does not tell you whether they are alive, whether they are shaped in a way that lets them fertilise anything, or whether the genetic material inside them is intact.
The session works through the three parameters that answer those questions. Vitality, to separate immotile and alive from immotile and dead. Morphology under strict criteria, which is where two laboratories diverge most. And sperm DNA fragmentation, which sits behind a meaningful share of unexplained infertility and recurrent loss, and is still rarely ordered.
Each one is demonstrated at the microscope and projected, so the room sees what is actually being judged rather than a description of it.
